Young people in grades K-12 come to Laughlin Chapel for afterschool activities Monday through Thursday during the academic year. Transportation is provided to the Chapel by Ohio County Schools or by the Chapel's own bus.

The daily afterschool schedule includes a snack, homework help and academic skills reinforcement. In addition, kids participate in enrichment activities, such as music, martial arts, Girl Scouts, yoga, art & music.

The Chapel employs classroom staff for the afterschool program. Additional assistance is provided by education majors and other students from West Liberty State College, Waynesburg College, Wheeling Jesuit University, West Virginia Northern Community College, Bethany College and Wheeling Central Catholic High School and Ohio County Schools.

At 5:15 each evening, the children enjoy a nutritious meal at the Chapel Kid's Cafe. They are transported to their homes by school bus. The average attendance in the afterschool program is 100 students and the program is operated 33 weeks each year.
