The Rosa Parks Center, located at 17th and Wood Streets, is a recent addition to the Laughlin Chapel organization. The building was donated for our use by the U.S. Justice Department. This new facility allows us to include middle and high school students in the afterschool program. Program hours are 2:30 to 5:30 Monday through Thursday.

Staff and volunteers are on hand to help students with their homework and to provide for special tutoring as needed. Computer access is available for homework and research projects. Once the work is done, students can take part in group discussions, relax and socialize. When the program concludes at 5:30, students walk down the street to the Chapel for their evening meal.

Middle and high school students also participate in summer camp programs, attending residential camps in Ohio and New York.
